RN OASIS Review / Coder

Visiting Nurse & Health Services of Connecticut, located in Vernon, CT. seeks a RN to be responsible for review of OASIS time points and ICD-9 coding.  Working with Clinical Managers and field staff to correct errors and improve accuracy.  MUST have recent homecare experience.  Responsible for review of records for the Medicare/Medicaid programs and care plan approval.  Works with clinician to deliver comprehensive and patient centered care.  Assigns ICD-9 coding convention and supportive documentation.  Assists with educating staff on the use of OASIS on an ongoing basis.

Job Requirements:  Must be a graduate of the NLN approved school of nursing, RN or LPN.  MUST have OASIS Certification and Home Care Diagnosis experience along with at least years of homecare experience.  Must have a current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Connecticut and possess and individual malpractice insurance policy.
